About

My professional journey began well before I even knew how to define it. My upbringing and experiences have shaped my natural “feeling” of others and where they are at. My adventures and challenges have made me an overcomer, one who continues to persevere, no matter how tough it gets. A lot of my early developing years have been in diverse settings and ranged drastically in social economic status. I was exposed to many things and ways of life. I experienced the beauty of family and the deep pain of being alone, the freedom of love and the prison of not knowing my self worth and value. I believe that these experiences and ways have made me to possess compassion for my clients and those in need. My skills have also lead me to teach, mentor, and provide a way for others to learn how to be free of fear.

My professional training and education has been in psychology and marriage and family therapy. I’ve worked systemically with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I also spent time providing co-therapy as a training tool and a strategic approach. I led groups in pre-marital work, facilitating and mentoring fresh therapists in their approach to working with groups. I studied at the Minuchin Center for the Family in NYC, having the privilege of observing Salvador Minuchin himself dancing with a family. I have also worked extensively with children of all ages and have found a particular fondness for working with adolescents. My mission is to support and spur on young people to know their value, learn the skills that are essential for peace, and know how to pursue their gifts in a collaborative age appropriate context.
